According to the Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS)female participation in the workforce in the state grew from 32.3% in 2020-21 to 36.4% in 2023-24 which is higher than the National level. Women are central to building inclusive and sustainable economies, yet many continue to face barriers to education, employment, and entrepreneurship. Through targeted skilling, mentorship, and opportunity creation, we can unlock the vast potential of women in the workforce. This session will spotlight innovative programs, success stories, and policy approaches that empower women across sectors. The discussion will focus on how skill development can bridge gender gaps, enhance economic participation, and build resilience among women in a rapidly evolving world of work.
